Introduction:

  • In line with the initiatives launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and following the issuance of the National Action Charter and the elections held in 2002, the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs launched a series of initiatives aimed at developing the cities and villages of the Kingdom.
  • The Cities and Villages Development Project was launched in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2006 with the aim of improving the living standards of low-income families in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Project Standards:

  • 1- The applicant must be a Bahraini national and the aged 18 years and above.
  • 2- The applicant must be the owner of the dwelling in whole or in part.
  • 3- The family should be live at home for more than 10 years.
  • 4- The income of the head of household should be less than 600 dinars per month.
  • 5- The applicant does not own another property.
  • 6- The applicant should be the owner of a land area of not less than 150 square meters and does not receive income from it.
  • 7- The applicant's CPR and address must be identical.
  • 8- Approval of all owners in case the property is owned by more than one person.
  • 9- The applicant should not have benefited from the project or any other services provided by the Ministry.

Required documents:

  • 1- A copy of the applicant's CPR.
  • 2- Copy of the home document.
  • 3- A copy of the legal obligation of the heirs (if necessary).
  • 4- Salary certificate from the employer of the applicant.
  • 5- A copy of electricity bill.
  • 6- Consent by the heirs to the restoration.
  • 7- Copy of bank statement.
