Muharraq Municipality Launches “Muharraq… Cleanliness and Commitment” Campaign and Unveils Smart Cleaning Services App

Muharraq Municipality has launched the “Muharraq… Cleanliness and Commitment” campaign during a community event aimed at strengthening cleanliness culture and promoting positive behaviors through an integrated partnership involving government entities, civil society organizations, and the private sector, with broad community participation.

The event also marked the launch of the Gulf City Cleaning smart application, offering integrated services such as waste and bulky item removal, container requests, cleanliness reports, participation in awareness activities, and recycling-related services, supporting environmental sustainability and enhancing communication with the public.

The Chairman of the Muharraq Municipal Council highlighted the campaign as a practical model of community partnership and shared responsibility, while the Director General of the Municipality emphasized its focus on sustainable behavioral change through field awareness, particularly among schools and residential areas. Representatives of civil society and the private sector reaffirmed the importance of cooperation in achieving effective and sustainable outcomes.
