Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Inaugurates Saar Park Located in Block 525

HE Engineer Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture, inaugurated Saar Park located in Block 525, in the presence of HE Engineer Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs, Dr. Sayyid Shabr Ibrahim Al-Wadaei, Chairman of the Northern Governorate Municipal Council, Engineer Lamya Youssef Al-Fadhalah, Director General of the Northern Governorate Municipality, Mr. Tarek Jaafar Al-Farsani, a member of the municipal council representing the fifth district in the Northern Governorate, and several ministry officials and civil society representatives.

During the inauguration, the Minister emphasized that the ministry is committed to developing parks and public facilities, intensifying agricultural and afforestation efforts, and expanding green spaces to ensure a sustainable environment for citizens and residents.

He pointed out that Saar Park is an important addition to the service facilities available in the Northern Governorate, asserting that this project is part of the Ministry's commitment to providing service and recreational projects through the establishment of a comprehensive system of parks and recreational areas across various regions of the kingdom.

The total area of the project is 3,372 square meters, designed to high-quality standards, featuring a walking path, a main children's play area equipped with safety specifications, a multi-purpose playground, a smart irrigation network, and security cameras.

He added that approximately 800 square meters, accounting for 30% of the park's area, have been designated as green spaces, planted with various types of trees that align with the national afforestation plan, with around 123 trees planted.

Al-Mubarak highlighted the ministry's ongoing initiatives and projects aimed at achieving sustainable development goals, praising the cooperation of the Northern Governorate Municipal Council and their continuous engagement with residents to realize their aspirations for service projects.

For his part, Dr. Sayyid Shabr Ibrahim Al-Wadaei, Chairman of the Northern Governorate Municipal Council, stated that Saar Park is one of the model projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain that serves the community, especially the residents of Saar. He emphasized the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture's collaboration in supporting the proposals put forth by municipal council members across various districts.

Additionally, Mr. Tarek Jaafar Al-Farsani, a member of the municipal council representing the fifth district in the Northern Governorate, praised the efforts of the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture and its support for municipal councils in enhancing the service system in the Kingdom of Bahrain through the improvement of infrastructure and public facilities, and its continuous commitment to meeting the service needs of residents.
