Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Meets the International Institute for Management Development Delegation

HE Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, met with a delegation from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) an institute responsible for issuing annual global reports on smart city indicators.

The meeting reviewed the many government efforts made towards developing the digital framework and infrastructure required to implement smart city solutions. Among the topics discussed was the "Smart Cities Summit," an event that is held annually by the ministry as a specialized conference on artificial intelligence and the transition to smart cities. The goal of this summit is to leverage global expertise and explore its integration with leading local experiences in this area, which would have a positive effect on the Kingdom's urban development.

Attendees included HE Eng. Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary of Municipalities Affairs, Eng. Saleh Tarada, Chairman of the Capital Municipality Council, Eng. Mohammed Saad Al-Sahli, Director General of the Capital Municipality, and several officials from the Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
