Undersecretary for Agriculture Affairs and Animal Wealth Announces Release of Guidance Manuals for Livestock Services
Eng. Assem Abdul Latif Abdullah, Undersecretary for Agriculture Affairs and Animal Wealth at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, announced the release of four guidance manuals aimed at regulating animal vaccination services and related licenses including licensing for veterinary medical facilities, the import and export of veterinary pharmaceuticals, and the practice of veterinary medical professions.
The Undersecretary stated that these manuals aim to raise awareness among citizens and stakeholders in the livestock sector about the required licensing procedures for these services in a simplified manner. This initiative is intended to encourage and stimulate support for the local livestock production sector, contributing to the enhancement of food security.
The Undersecretary explained that the Animal Vaccination Manual aims to enhance the health and safety of livestock by providing comprehensive guidelines on best vaccination practices to reduce the spread of epidemics and increase production, thus contributing to food security. The manual includes all the steps required to obtain the service. Additionally, the Veterinary Medical Facility Licensing Manual is designed to regulate the necessary procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality veterinary services in line with health and professional standards. This will contribute to the safety of livestock and protect public health, while clarifying the requirements for obtaining the license.
Regarding the Veterinary Pharmaceutical Import and Export Manual, the Undersecretary explained that it aims to regulate the procedures for handling these products to ensure their compliance with health standards. It enhances the health and safety of livestock by ensuring the quality of the pharmaceuticals and strengthening health oversight. As for the Veterinary Medical Professions Manual, its purpose is to regulate the veterinary sector and ensure the provision of high-quality services that contribute to protecting public health. It also aims to reinforce the application of regulations and legislation related to veterinary professions.
The Undersecretary for Agriculture Affairs and Animal Wealth pointed out that all the manuals are available on the ministry's official website (www.mun.gov.bh), where all stakeholders can access them to obtain the necessary licenses for various livestock services.
These guidance manuals simplify livestock service procedures and provide clear, effective answers to inquiries from individuals and institutions, making it easier to obtain services.
