Undersecretary of Agriculture and Animal Wealth Affairs Visits the General Poultry Company to Inspect the Expansion Project to Increase the Production of Table Eggs  

His Excellency Eng. Asim Abdul Latif Abdullah, Undersecretary of Agriculture and Animal Wealth Affairs at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture highlighted the prominent role of national companies in enhancing food security in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This occurred during a field visit to the General Poultry Company by the Undersecretary of Agriculture and Animal Wealth Affairs, who was accompanied by Dr. Ibrahim Yousef Ahmed, Assistant Undersecretary for Animal Wealth at the Ministry, and several ministry officials, to observe the expansion project that is currently underway to increase production capacity.

His Excellency the Undersecretary was briefed on the implementation of the expansion project and the developments it included in terms of fresh table egg production in the Kingdom of Bahrain during his meeting with Mr. Sami Mohammed Zainal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Poultry Company, Mr. Wael Al-Aitani, CEO of the company, and several other company officials.

The Undersecretary pointed out that the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture is keen to enhance partnership with the private sector encouraging them to invest in agricultural and livestock sectors as they are vital and essential sectors for the Kingdom’s food security, highlighting the Ministry’s aim to continue adopting initiatives and projects capable of enhancing increased food production and increasing the production capacity of table eggs for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
