- Application for Wayleave approval for works, stamped by the governmental entities requesting the excavation works

Terms and Conditions
The permit holder shall comply with the following terms during the execution of excavation works:
1. Site Cleanliness: Always maintain the work site in a clean condition and dispose of waste at approved locations.
2. Reinstatement of Site: Re-pave affected paved streets and reinstate roads and excavation areas to the original ground levels immediately after completion of the works.
3. Public Safety: Provide adequate lighting at the work site during nighttime and implement necessary safety measures to ensure the safety of road users and the public.
4. Traffic Management: Install the required traffic signs, guidance boards, and warning devices in accordance with Traffic Directorate requirements. Main roads shall not be closed, nor traffic flow obstructed. Where required, suitable bridges or steel plates capable of supporting vehicle movement shall be provided.
5. Water Removal: Provide appropriate means for pumping and removing water from excavation areas and transporting it to designated locations.
6. Compliance with Procedures: In case of non-compliance with any of the above procedures, the competent authority may immediately suspend the works, and full responsibility shall lie with the permit holder.
7. Liability for Damages: The permit holder shall be fully responsible for any damages caused to third parties. The Municipality shall bear no responsibility for excavation works within private properties.
8. Prior Coordination: Prior coordination with the competent Afforestation and Parks Directorate is required before commencing excavation works to ensure that no existing plantations are affected.
9. These procedures apply to all excavation permits, and compliance with them is a prerequisite for the continuation of works.
