The Southern Municipality, in cooperation with the Municipal Council and voluntary initiatives, distributes the first phase of sun protection umbrellas to its workers

These umbrellas are characterized as thick umbrellas that protect from the hot sun and are fixed on the head and workers do not need to hold them by hand, to be more comfortable during their work.<br /><br />This initiative comes as part of its keenness to protect workers with the intensification of the sun?s heat in the summer and the workers? need for shade in their work sites that require being outside, such as their presence to clean main streets and roads, and in agricultural and pruning work in gardens, parks, walking tracks, and in all public squares.<br /><br />This initiative comes among a large number of initiatives that the municipality is working to implement within its plan and strategy set to improve the services provided to citizens and residents alike.
