The 7th Edition of the Bahrain Smart Cities Summit Launches in March

H.E. Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, has confirmed that the 7th edition of the Bahrain Smart Cities Summit will commence on March 5th. The Summit will be for the duration of two days and will focus on "Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development."

The Minister stated that the summit aligns with Bahrain’s vision to become a pioneer in transitioning to smart and sustainable cities by adopting cutting-edge technologies and leveraging the latest global experiences and scientific advancements. This effort is in line with the comprehensive development goals led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Bahrain Smart Cities Summit will highlight global best practices in AI and internet-driven innovation, smart real estate, sustainable infrastructure, innovation in food security along with the best agricultural practices and technologies. It will target excellence in implementing environmental, social, and governance principles. It will also focus on harnessing renewable energy, sustainability initiatives, as well as innovative smart city solutions, emerging technologies in the development of urban cities and community engagement in smart cities.

Additionally, the summit will address global challenges in transitioning to smart cities and explore practical solutions to overcome them.The summit will also feature an accompanying exhibition, where several local and international organizations will showcase the latest solutions and systems for smart buildings, sustainable energy solutions, artificial intelligence systems, and technological solutions for environmental sustainability and waste management, as well as initiatives related to food security.
