The Prime minister His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Alkhalifa was born on 25 of Shaban 1354 Hijri corresponding 1936 AD and he is the second son to the late Shaikh Salman Bin Hamad Alkhalifa, He first joined the Bahraini schools for his education and then higher study in the United Kingdom, when he returned from the U.K. he was appointed head of the education council in 1957, in the year 1959 he was appointed charge de affaires for the Bahraini government secretary, in 1960 he was appointed head of the Bahraini government finance and then he was chosen to head the municipality- Manama in 1962.
