Conclusion of the First Bahrain Veterinary Medicine Conference and Exhibition 2025
The First Bahrain Veterinary Medicine Conference and Exhibition 2025 has concluded. The two-day event, organized by the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture in cooperation with Checklist Events, Trade and Consultancy, drew wide participation from experts and specialists in veterinary medicine and animal healthcare, both from within and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain.
On this occasion, His Excellency Engineer Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, stated that hosting this event reflects Bahrain's leading position as a regional center of excellence and innovation in veterinary medicine. He praised the active participation and productive scientific discussions held during the conference, along with the insights and recommendations put forward to help advance this vital sector and strengthen its role in supporting the Kingdom's development path.
H.E. the Minister explained that holding the conference underscores Bahrain's commitment to supporting scientific and research initiatives that advance the veterinary sector and strengthen its role in protecting animal wealth and supporting food security. He added that the exchange of expertise among specialists reinforces national, regional, and international efforts, and cements the Kingdom's standing as an active hub for innovation in the field.
Over the course of two days, the conference addressed veterinary standards and regulations in the Kingdom of Bahrain, alongside a review of best practices in healthcare and the importance of continuous education. Sessions also covered modern technologies and the future of veterinary medicine through specialized scientific presentations on artificial intelligence applications and digital services in veterinary diagnosis and care, as well as experiences related to sustainability and environmentally friendly practices in clinic operations, and the importance of prevention, vaccination, and early detection.
The conference also discussed the "One Health" concept, which links human and animal health, as well as zoonotic diseases and their impact on public health. Additional topics included the foundations for developing veterinary professionals, animal welfare and adoption processes, along with a review of investment opportunities in the sector and future leadership roles.
