On the occasion of the World Hygiene Day, the Northern Area Municipality organizes a cleaning campaign in the coast of Al-Malikiyah, in cooperation with the Bahrain Clean Up Society and the Al-Malikiyah Club (Jawalla), and with the participation of the people of the area

Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, stressed the important role played by the community in raising the level of public hygiene, stressing the importance of community partnership in preserving public facilities and its role in strengthening the efforts directed towards protecting the environment.

This came during his participation in the cleanliness campaign organized by the Ministry on the coast of Al-Malikiyah on the occasion of the International Day of Cleanliness, in cooperation with the Bahrain Clean Up Society and the Al-Malikiyah Club, with the participation of the people of the area and a number of civil society institutions, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs, Eng. Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and the Director General of the Norther Area Municipality, Eng. Lamya Al-Fadhala and a number of ministry officials.

Al-Mubarak explained that the Ministry welcomes initiatives that would enhance the level of community partnership in achieving its vision of maintaining public cleanliness, whether aimed at cleaning the coasts, which are important to citizens and visitors and a destination for tourism, or in residential neighborhoods and various areas, stressing the exploitation of any environmental events to stimulate society. and its members in promoting civilized behavior related to public hygiene.

Al-Mubarak called on all community institutions to adopt environmental initiatives, noting that "the ministry is supportive of any community initiative aimed at preserving national gains and promoting a culture of joint action and improving the environmental reality."

Al-Mubarak also praised the participation of civil society organizations, environmental associations and volunteer teams in the World Hygiene Day, which aims to involve the community in preserving the environment and public hygiene.

For his part, Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs, Eng. Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, said, "The Ministry of Municipalies Affairs and Agriculture gives great importance to the cleanliness file, and that activating community partnership is part of the Ministry's priorities in this regard." He added, "Municipalities Affairs, in cooperation with municipal councils, aims to motivate civil society and individuals to launch initiatives aimed at improving the level of hygiene in general, in line with the desired goals."
