Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Announces Launch of Bahrain International Agricultural and Animal Production Exhibition (Mara’ee 2024)  

Under the gracious patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the seventh edition of the Bahrain International Agricultural and Animal Production Exhibition (Mara’ee 2024) will commence. This event reflects Bahrain's dedication to advancing agricultural and animal production, aligning with the initiatives and projects implemented by the government under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The exhibition aims to enhance sustainable investment in agricultural and animal production.

HE Engineer Wael bin Nasser Al-Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, announced that the Mara’ee 2024 exhibition will be open to the public from November 27th to December 1st, 2024, at the Bahrain International Endurance Village. This year, the exhibition has been extended to five days due to the significant turnout in its previous edition.

HE the Minister highlighted the importance of the exhibition, emphasizing that the agricultural and animal production sector is a cornerstone of food security. The Kingdom of Bahrain is committed to advancing this vital sector through knowledge exchange, farmer support, implementation of best practices and technologies, and through building capabilities that are in line with the National Strategy for Sustainable Agricultural Development. The Minister also underscored the sector's vital backing by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Consultative Council of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development.

HE stated: "From this perspective, the Bahrain International Agricultural and Animal Production Exhibition (Mara’ee) has been organized as a specialized event combining scientific, investment, technological, and recreational aspects in the field of agricultural and animal production. It marks a new presence for the Kingdom of Bahrain on the global exhibition map and represents another achievement for Team Bahrain in hosting diverse activities and events”.

The Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture emphasized that the organization of the seventh edition of (Mara’ee) is part of continuing national initiatives and strategic projects aimed to increase the contribution of the agricultural and animal sector to food security and bolster national economy. It provides exceptional investment opportunities at one of the largest exhibitions held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, an exhibition that has seen significant attendance in previous editions, becoming a major platform that attracts both local and international visitors.

The exhibition will feature a distinguished lineup of professionals in the agricultural and animal production sector, showcasing the latest innovations, technologies, and world-class livestock breeds. Livestock and poultry traders will present their products, offering a unique marketing and promotional opportunity while facilitating the exchange of experiences among exhibitors and producers.

His Excellency the Minister noted that the seventh edition of the Mara’ee exhibition will draw attention to the national initiatives aimed at achieving food security and advancing agricultural and animal production. It will also highlight Bahrain's leadership in organizing exhibitions that promote the economy and tourism, while encouraging investment in agricultural and animal production to achieve self-sufficiency in certain food products.

Over its previous editions, the Mara’ee exhibition has become a key attraction for agricultural and animal production enthusiasts and exhibitors, drawing the attention of local and international visitors. The exhibition continues to solidify Bahrain’s position on the global map of major events year after year.
