Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Discusses Joint Efforts with the Engineering Offices’ Association

HE Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, emphasized the prominent role played by the Engineering Offices Association in developing and promoting the culture of professionalism in the work place in the Kingdom of Bahrain, considering the Association to be a key partner in facilitating the services provided by the public sector to citizens and investors.

HE the Minister went on to explain that communication and coordination with both professional and vocational institutions is part of the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture's policy to consolidate aspects of cooperation and joint initiatives with its partners to learn more of their opinions and constructive feedback with the aim to push forward the wheel of urban development.

HE statements came during a visit to the Engineering Offices Association, along with HE Eng. Shaikh Mohamed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs and a number of ministry officials. HE met with Eng. Faeq Al-Mandeel, Chairman of the Bahrain Engineering Offices Association, members of the Society's Board of Directors, in addition to a number of Bahraini engineering offices.

The Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture said that this meeting is a continuation of a series of meetings that bring together ministry officials with specialized associations in a framework that embodies the integration of work between the public and private sectors, noting the efforts and endeavors made by the Engineering Office Association to advance the role of engineering offices in the Kingdom, stressing the importance of continuing to strengthen cooperation with the association in everything that would serve to achieve common goals.

During the meeting, several topics of common interest were discussed including ways to support the engineering profession and cadres working in the engineering field.

For his part, Eng. Faeq Al-Mandeel, Chairman of the Bahrain Engineering Offices Association, expressed his appreciation to HE the Minister, noting the importance of continuing the joint efforts made in developing the operational methodology of engineering offices, and the incorporation of professional associations in such processes thereby supporting the comprehensive development of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
