the Third Ordinary Northern Municipal Council Meeting From the first round of the sixth municipal session 2022 – 2026

The Municipal Council of the Northern Region held its third ordinary meeting of the first round of the sixth municipal session 2022-2026 today, Monday January 09, 2022 at the Council building in Budaiya headed by Dr. Sayed Shubber Ebrahim Al-Wedai, In the presence of the members of the Council and the Director General of the Northern Region Municipality Engineer Lamya Al-Fadhala.

HE opened the session with a speech that included praise for the visit to the Lawzi area by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, this visit represents a prominent appreciation for the efforts of the members of the Northern Municipal Council and in support of the Council's efforts to enhance the process of organizational work in the coming rainy seasons. HE the President also extended to His Highness the great thanks and appreciation for the generous gesture and affirmed the Council's firm commitment to enhancing cooperation and permanent coordination with the executive entities of the esteemed government.

HE the Speaker of the Council also praised the outstanding cooperation shown by all executive agencies in working as a team in reducing the damage of the recent rains, As well as the outstanding efforts of the members of the Northern Municipal Council in following up the reality of rain and going down to the field in the affected areas.

 HE pointed to the need to review administrative and organizational tools and read the requirements of human resources and technical and logistical needs to address damages, And work to limit the damages that included a number of low-income families to study the nature of the support that can be provided to them, In addition to identifying the most affected rainwater collection sites that need direct and rapid intervention according to the priority schedule.

The agenda of the meeting included a decision approving the authorization of the Vice President to supervise the committees, and a decision was submitted approving the authorization of the Vice President to supervise employees. In addition to presenting the subject of identifying the representatives of the Legal and Financial Committee in the external committees as a briefing at the meeting of the Council.
